Every QA engineer has experienced it: you find a bug, file a report, and move on. Step 4: Build Coverage Iteratively

Each suggestion appears as a new card below your original report. You can continue clicking "Suggest Related" to generate more suggestions. AI tracks what it has already suggested and avoids repeating the same scenarios.

After 3-4 suggestions, you have a comprehensive coverage set — original bug plus related edge cases — all from a single recording session.

What Makes AI Suggestions Different from Generic Checklists?

You could Google "common login bugs" and get a generic checklist. But AI suggestions are fundamentally different because they're contextual:

They're based on your actual application. AI sees the specific URL, the specific form fields, the specific error message. Its suggestions reference your actual UI elements and flows, not hypothetical ones.

They consider the specific failure pattern. A 500 error suggests server-side issues, so AI focuses on server-related edge cases. A 400 error would trigger different suggestions focused on validation. A UI glitch would generate visual regression scenarios.

They avoid redundancy. When you request multiple suggestions, AI receives the titles and summaries of all previous suggestions. It's instructed to generate genuinely different scenarios, not variations of the same theme.

They come as actionable reports. Each suggestion is a complete, structured bug report with steps to reproduce — not a one-line checklist item. A tester can immediately execute the suggested test or file the report as-is.

Here are examples of what AI suggests based on different types of original bugs:

Original: "Product search returns no results for valid query"

AI Suggestion: "Search with special characters causes unhandled exception — search API returns 500 instead of empty results with proper message"

Original: "File upload fails for files larger than 10MB"

AI Suggestion: "Uploading a file with double extension (.jpg.exe) bypasses file type validation — security risk for malicious file uploads"

Original: "User profile edit saves successfully but doesn't update the header display name"

AI Suggestion: "Editing profile with extremely long name (500+ characters) causes layout break in header and profile page — no max-length validation on name field"

Original: "Checkout process shows wrong total after applying discount code"

AI Suggestion: "Applying and removing discount code multiple times in rapid succession creates negative total — race condition in discount calculation"

Notice how each suggestion is a genuinely different bug — not just "try the same thing with different data." AI identifies the underlying pattern (validation gap, error handling gap, race condition potential) and generates a new scenario that explores that pattern.

For Test Cases Too

AI Suggestions isn't limited to bug reports. If you generate a test case for a feature, AI can suggest related test scenarios:

  • Negative test cases — What happens when inputs are invalid?
  • Boundary tests — What about minimum and maximum values?
  • Permission tests — Does this feature work correctly for different user roles?
  • Integration tests — How does this feature interact with other features?
  • Performance scenarios — What happens under load or slow network?
